Nicolina M. Bonacci, 78, of Maryland, formerly of Carbondale, died Friday in Maryland after an illness. Her husband, Nicholas Bonacci, died in 2002.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Otterino Cerra, she was a member of St. Athanasius Church, Maryland. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, while residing here.
Surviving are three daughters, Maria McLamb, Catherine Schwanke and Ann Elliott; and five grandchildren, Taryn Webb, Taylor Mast, Mark Schwanke, Kyrstin Elliott and Jenna Schwanke.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated today in St. Athanasius Church, Maryland, by her brother-in-law, the Rev. Louis Bonacci.
Local services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 2 Hospital St., Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
