Olga Kenjerski Moniak

Olga Kenjerski Moniak, 89, of Old Forge, died Sunday evening at Moses Taylor Hospital. Her husband, John, died Aug. 13, 1987.

Born in Taylor on April 4, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Anastazia Lewitsky Kenjerski and a graduate of Taylor High School. Olga was a lifelong parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge.

She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. She was truly devoted to God, and her faith sustained her through many trials and tribulations.

Surviving are two sons, John and wife, Phyllis, Allentown; and Charles and wife, Annmarie, Emmaus; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two very special nieces, Patricia Waznak and husband, Frank, Scranton; and Sandra Pregmon and husband, Daniel, Old Forge; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul; a sister, Mary Halchak; and two brothers, Mereslow "Russ" and Vladimir.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 in St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 140 Church St., Old Forge, by the Rev. Gary Mensinger. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. Parastas services will be at 6:30.
