Pamela Davis Swoyer, L.P.N., 62, of West Scranton, died Thursday evening at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Taylor.
Born on Sept. 22, 1951, daughter of the late Thomas G. and Mary C. Barrett Davis, Pamela was a graduate of West Catholic High School, before earning her nursing degree from Moses Taylor School of Nursing. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for Moses Taylor and Eastern General hospitals.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved daughter, siblings, family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Haley Davis, with whom she resided; a sister, Marybeth Cleveland and fiancé, Joseph Macareo, Scranton; brothers, Robert Davis and wife, Mary, Scranton; William Davis, Reading; Bradley Davis, Old Forge; and Thomas Davis and wife, Lisa, Clarks Summit; many nieces and nephews, especially her loving niece, Shelby Baranow.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Caregivers of America, especially Erica, for their care throughout Pamela's illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Martin Boylan, pastor. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10:30 until Mass time at the church. With gratitude for the tremendous care and compassion given to Pamela, memorial contributions may be made to Traditional Home Health and Hospice, 113 W. Drinker St., Dunmore, PA 18512.
