Paul F. Lord Sr., 92, of Fairfax, Va., died Friday at Fairfax Nursing Center. He was the husband of the former Marion R. Kinback, who died May 25, 2003.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Leon and Josephine Ryan Lord, he started working in 1939 at Chrysler Motors, General Electric and Daystrom Instruments and later at Bell Labs and Picatinny Arsenal with the Army Military Command in Dover, N.J. In 1982, he was transferred to Vint Hill Farm Station in Warrenton, Va., until retirement in 1989. Paul worked part time at Lowe's and Home Depot until 2000. He served in World War II
and was stationed in Berlin, Germany, as a radio operator in the Army Air Force.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara J. (Lord) Hartmann, Fairfax, Va.; and Debra A. (Lord) Coleman, Merrimack, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth R. Coleman IV and Holly N. Coleman of Merrimack.
Paul was also preceded in death by a son, Paul F. Lord Jr., in 2008.
Committal services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery, Dunmore.
Friends may call Thursday from noon to 1:30 at the Robert E. Decker Funeral, 702 River St., Peckville, before services at Forest Hill.
