Peter Sluck, 72, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday in Boca Raton, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Dianna G. Archer.
Born in Taylor, on July 21, 1940, son of the late Ignatz and Julia Kotcho, he was a 1958 graduate of Taylor High School. Peter served our country in the Army. Throughout his life, he worked in sales, retiring from Wilcox Walter Furlong. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. George's Orthodox Church, where he served as past president. He was a member of the Peter Williamson Lodge 323 Free and Accepted Masons, the Keystone Consistory and the Irem Temple Shriners. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing, but his family, especially his grandson, was the center of his life.
Also surviving are two sons, Gregory P. and wife, Kathy, Centerville, Va.; and Paul S., Fort Meyers, Fla.; a grandson, Peyton; a sister, Anna Sluck, Taylor; a brother, Andrew "Jim," Old Forge; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Peter; a sister, Martha Regan; and seven brothers, John, William, George, Frank, Michael, Joseph and Stephen.
The funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by services at 9:30 in St. George's Orthodox Church, 743 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, to be celebrated by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Mark Leasure. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
