Phyllis A. Baldwin, 57, of Scranton, died Saturday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton after being stricken ill at her home.
Born June 25, 1955, in Scranton, she was educated in Scranton schools and was employed by Gertrude Hawk Candies of Dunmore and was previously employed by Anemostat Sheet Metal Inc. of Scranton for many years. She was a member of Sheet Metal Workers International Association 44 of Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are three sisters, Edith M. Baldwin, Scranton; Katherine Leidel, Scranton; and Jean M. Leidel, Taylor; seven brothers, George Baldwin and wife, Lisa, Sacramento, Calif.; Wallace R. Baldwin and wife, Delana, Carbondale; John H. Baldwin, Scranton; Thomas R. Baldwin, Scranton; Charles F. Baldwin and wife, Carol, Citrus Heights, Calif.; Lawrence P. Baldwin, Scranton; and Herman E. Leidel and wife, Charlene, Scranton; a nephew, James L. Leidel and wife, Traci, Scranton; and nieces, Sherri Leidel and Thais Leidel, whom she helped raise, and their children, Eric Leidel, Alicia Leidel, Mariah Leidel, Izabella and Olivia Leidel; many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Leidel; and her daughter, Denise Baldwin, in 2000.
A celebration of life and visitation will be conducted Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m., in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton.
