Ralph R. Pellegrino

Ralph R. Pellegrino, 60, of Scranton, died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He and his wife, the former Terese C. Cooney, celebrated 39 years of marriage April 28.

Born in Scranton, son of Helen Oldenski Pellegrino, Scranton, and the late Ralph Rocco Pellegrino, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church LCMS. He was educated in Scranton public schools, was a graduate of Scranton Central High School, class of 1970, and attended Pennsylvania State University. He was employed by Holy Family Residence and was a member of the Tauras Club and the APA Pool League.

He enjoyed driving his sports car and attending car shows. His greatest joy came from spending time with family. He was a loving and devoted husband, grandfather, son and brother who will be deeply missed.

Also surviving are a sister, Marie Roberts and husband, David Peckville; a granddaughter, Gianna Pellegrino; and a daughter-in-law, Robin Fanelli, both of Exeter; mother-in-law, Kate McNerney Cooney, Scranton; an uncle and aunt, Christopher and Rose Pellegrino, Scranton; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ralph J. Pellegrino; and his father-in-law, James Joseph Cooney.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 238 Reese St., Scranton, with services by the Rev. Anthony B. Mandile III, pastor. Anyone attending the funeral is asked to proceed directly to the church. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Dickson City.

Friends may call Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton. A prayer service will be at 7.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
