Raymond Novobilski

Raymond Novobilski, 83, of Jermyn, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Whites Crossing, he was the son of the late Frank and Nellie Lesneski Novobilski. He was educated in Whites Crossing elementary school and Fell High School. He graduated from Lackawanna Business College and the University of Bridgeport, where he received a degree in accounting and finance. He was the manager of accounts payable and receivable for Pitney-Bowes Corp., Stamford, Conn. He resided in Bridgeport, Conn., for most of his life and in Jermyn for the last 15 years. He was a member of Queen of Angels Parish, St. Mary's Assumption Church, Jessup.

Raymond loved family and working in his beautiful garden.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carbondale Nursing Home and Bethany Village for all of their kindness.

He is survived by two brothers, Dominic Novobilski and wife, Ann, Moscow, and Jerome Novobilski and wife, Anne Marie, Carbondale, and several nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by six sisters, Antoinette Beahan, Mary Ann McCool, Nellie Stanko, Martha Kreta, Helen Novobilski and Victoria Comeno, and two brothers, Frank and Joseph Novobilski.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Queen of Angels Parish, St. Michael's Church.
