Rexford F. Tiffany, 80, of Kingsley, died Wednesday at Hospice Community Care, Scranton, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly (Hunter) Tiffany.
Born July 23, 1933, in Kingsley, son of the late Clyde E. and Elizabeth L. (Oakley) Tiffany, he drove a concrete truck for Master's for more than 30 years.
Rexford was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. He was happiest when he could do both at the same time.
Also surviving are his four children, Rex Tiffany, Kingsley; Roxanne and husband, Tim Smith, Sunset Beach, N.C.; Karen and husband, Scott Walton, North Jackson; and Joy Tiffany, Pottstown; four grandchildren, Joshua and wife, Jess Healey; Dustin and wife, Stephanie Tiffany; and Seth and Rebekah Tiffany; four great-grandchildren, Vy, Blaze, Storm and Trinity; three sisters, Jennie Setzer, Lacona, N.Y.; Lillian Franklin, Hop Bottom; and Sally Stanton, Roaring Brook Twp.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Karen (Bickings) Tiffany.
The funeral will be Saturday at noon at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with Pastor Phillip Richardson, Clarks Summit, officiating. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery, Kingsley. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
