Rita M. Rosar, age 88, of Scranton, Pa., passed away on February 3 at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home, Elmhurst Twp., Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Rosar; parents, Dr. Harry and Elizabeth Campbell Kraemer; and her two brothers, the Reverend Francis Kraemer and Harry Kraemer.
Rita worked for Pennsylvania Power and Light for about twenty years. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the After 50 Club, and a lifetime, active member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Scranton. After its closure, she joined the St. John Neumann Parish.
Ever so attentive to others, ever so considerate, ever so thankful, she cared for and prayed fervently for family members, fellow parishioners and other friends. She remembered loved ones' birthdays and anniversaries and thoughtfully saved news clippings and photos of family. She enjoyed pinochle, game shows and driving friends on errands. Widowed for twenty-five years, Rita especially cherished the dear friendship and kindness of Grace Gothier. The family would like to thank Mary Ann Shaw for the care and kindness she has given to Rita over the last several years.
Rita is survived by the five children of her brother Harry Kraemer and their spouses, Harry Jr. (Julie) of Wilmette, Ill.; Steve (Kathy) of St. Louis Park, Minn.; Paul (Cindy) of Sudbury, Mass.; Marilyn Foreman (Christopher) of Eagan, Minn.; and Tom (Alina) of New York, N.Y.; and their fourteen children.
