Robert Bond

Robert "Tim" Bond of Dalton died Wednesday at home following an illness. His wife of 41 years is the former Susan Walsh.

He was the son of Marie Yesu Bond of Scranton and the late Irving Bond. A graduate of West Scranton High School, before his illness he was employed in the sales department of Bath Fitters. He previously worked at the Arc and as a heavy equipment Instructor at NTI.

He was also in the excavating business and owned and operated a seafood business.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping, especially with his son.

He also had a passion for motorcycles and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mari Hendershot and husband, Seth, Dalton; a son, Jesse Bond, Carbondale; and two grandchildren, Jericho Hendershot and Autumn Joy Hendershot, both of Dalton.

A blessing service will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Patrick F. Guido Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Ave., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, S. Abington Twp., PA 18411.
