Robert J. Leone

Robert J. Leone of Waymart died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital following an illness. His wife of 10 years is the former Christine Reeves Leone.

Born in Queens, N.Y., son of the late Jospano and Florence Craig Leone, he was a retired mechanic for the Long Island Railroad and also worked for the security department in the Hideout. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Staff Sgt. Paul A. Sweeney Post 807.

He loved wolves, poetry and westerns.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lynn Marie Lynch and her husband, Kenneth, of Long Island, N.Y.; a stepson, John Carlsson and his wife, Florence of Virginia; grandchildren, Avarose and Piper Lyn.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Monday from 4-7 p.m. Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel. Interment, Simon Cemetery, South Canaan.
