Robert L. Major Sr.

Robert L. Major Sr., 66, of Kissimmee, Fla., died Saturday in Easton. His wife is the former Nancy Appleby. The couple had been married for 47 years.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Robert and Gloria Driesbaugh Major, he attended Abington Heights High School. Before retirement, he was employed as a concrete mason.

Robert was a very hard- working man and loved his work.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Jr. and wife, Heather, Nazareth; a daughter, Nancy Klingel and husband, Edward, Kresgeville; a brother, Kenneth and wife, Judy, Midlothian, Va.; two sisters, Joann Scott and husband, Richard, Clarks Summit; and Judy Petty and husband, William, Clarks Summit; five grandchildren, Abigail Major, Nickolas, Christine, Samantha and Ernest Klingel; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton.
