Robert Meixner

Robert Meixner, 63, of Scranton, died Wednesday at home.

He was born April 8, 1950, in Scranton, son of the late Robert and Olga Chabin Meixner. He was a graduate of West Scranton High School and was the owner of Meixner's Garage in Mill City.

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his three children, Tammy Sorber, Hunlock Creek; Melissa Meixner, Philadelphia; and Robert Meixner, Scranton; two grandchildren, Zachery and Abigail Meixner; three brothers, Thomas Meixner, West Pittston; James Castellano, Dickson City; and Ronald Castellano; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Meixner.

The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call Monday 5 to 7 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton.
