Robert W. Penwarden

Robert W. Penwarden, 56, of Greenfield Twp., died Oct. 5 upon arrival at Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville, after suffering an apparent heart attack at work.

Born Nov. 22, 1955, in Carbondale, son of the late Joseph and Ann Healey Penwarden, he was a graduate of Lakeland High School in Scott Twp. and was employed as a mechanic at Greenfield Power Equipment in Greenfield Twp.

He is survived by an aunt, Eleanor Penwarden, Tully, N.Y.; several cousins and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Penwarden Jr.

A memorial service will be held Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, with Pastor Peg Knapich, rector of the Clifford United Methodist Church, officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow the service at the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
