Sharon Amy Granahan, 30, of Philadelphia, formerly of Scranton, died Saturday at Rocksboro Memorial Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born in Scranton, daughter of Kenneth E. Jackson and Tammy Granahan Jackson, both of Scranton, she was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Scranton. Educated in Scranton public schools, she was a graduate of Scranton High School class of 2001, and Wilkes University, graduating in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in business and accounting.
Sharon enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. She enjoyed organizing vacations, and just came home from a family trip to Ireland.
Her dog, Lana, was the joy of her life. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend who will be deeply missed.
Also surviving are a brother, Kenneth E. Jackson Jr., Scranton; her fiancé, Patrick Lunger, Philadelphia; maternal grandparents, Anthony Granahan and Delores Sherman Granahan, Scranton; paternal grandmother, Ella Jackson Brierley, Wilmington, N.C.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Minton Jackson.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, William Street. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
