Sharon M. Ray, 59, of Forkston Twp., died Thursday afternoon at Commonwealth Hospice of Northeastern PA located at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was a beloved wife to Randall Kevin Ray. They married on Aug. 10, 1974.
She was born in Holyoke, Mass., on Sept. 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Warren C. and Doris Phillips Clark. She was a 1971 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School. Sharon was a member and served as secretary of the Forkston Grange; served as superintendent and also a teacher at the Sunday school of the Forkston United Methodist Church; served as a Girl Scout troop leader for Troop 466; worked at the ARC of Wyoming County for more than 20 years and worked at Procter & Gamble for 28 years, where she was very instrumental in coordinating the Luvs Diaper Quality Lab.
She is also survived by her daughter, Karri-ane Ray of Forkston Twp.; sister, Karen Guydosh of Mill City; and brother-in-law, Joe Guydosh.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Warren C. Clark Jr.; paternal grandparents, Oliver P. and Louise Clark; maternal grandparents, Harold and Mildred Phillips; father and mother-in-law, Albert L. and Laracatherine M. Ray; a brother-in-law, Shawn Holbrook Ray; and great-aunt and godmother, Peggy Kowalski.
Memorial service will be March 24 at 2 p.m. at Forkston U.M.C with Pastor Jean L. Sweet officiating. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery.
