Stanley Michael Brochey, Old Forge, died Dec. 22 at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. His wife is the former Dorothy Jean Decker. The couple was married Dec. 23, 1967, and remarried May 4, 1973. They had their marriage sealed on June 17, 1976.
Born in Germany, son of the late Robert LeRoy and Regina Lendzion Brochey, Stan was employed at Maui Cup Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where, he served as a Sunday School teacher, 2nd Councilor in the Elders Quorum and ward clerk. He also was employed as the janitor of the church. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War
. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Junior College.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at Mountain View Care Center for their love and support. It was a blessing and their love and encouragement was appreciated.
Also surviving are a sister, Sheila Gilbert, Warsaw, Ind.; nieces and nephews; and his beloved animals: three dogs, Skippy, Lily and Shelby and two cats, Samson and Sassy.
A celebration of Stanley's life will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 500 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit.
