Sue Kinsey Humphrey

Sue Kinsey Humphrey, 64, a longtime resident of Moscow, died Thursday morning in the VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Scranton, the daughter of Marie L. Burke Kinsey Lansberry, St. Mary's Villa, Elmhurst Twp., and the late David R. Kinsey, she was a graduate of Throop High School. Sue was the manager of the Moscow American Legion for 28 years.

Surviving are a sister, Judy Czachor and companion, Earl Scott, Madison Twp.; a brother, David Kinsey and wife, Gwen, Moscow; several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, especially her very special nephew, Michael Stires, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her dog, Scarlett O'Hara.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Pieski and Carol Dailey.

The funeral will be Monday at noon in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp., with the Rev. Arthur Davis, officiating. Entombment to follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.

A viewing will be held Monday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
