Thomas A. Jackson

Thomas A. Jackson, 75, of Blakely, died Friday at Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville. He was the husband of Gayle R. Hasley Jackson.

Born in Blakely on Oct. 16, 1937, son of the late Merriot L. and Mildred Runyon Jackson, he was a member of Blakely Primitive Methodist Church and served in the Air Force. He was a 50-year member of the Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 669, worked as an area supervisor for Grinnell Fire Protection and retired from Chesapeake Packaging.

Also surviving are three daughters, Robin Jenkins, Blakely; Heidi Preschutti and husband, Jerry, Collegeville; and Kristen Hughes and husband, Jeff, Olyphant; five sons, Alan and wife, Marion, Sturges; Scott and wife, Kathy, Blakely; Todd and companion, Tammy Zilla, Blakely; Thomas Jackson Jr. and wife, Erin, Olyphant; and Craig and wife, Sue, Miamisburg, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, Caitlin and Erinn Jenkins, Haley, Cole and Zachary Preschutti, Colby, Connor and Regan Hughes, Brandon Jackson; Robert Pietrowski and wife, Kristin; Nora and Kylie Jackson, Sam Zilla, Jamie and Sheri Talerico, Ty and Abbey Jackson; seven great-grandchildren, Riley and Addison Pietrowski, Keirsten and T.J. McGraw, Cassie, James and Dominick Talerico; a brother, Robert Jackson, Blakely; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Jackson; and a great-granddaughter, Paige Talerico.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald, with the Rev. Scott McGrady, pastor of Blakely Primitive Methodist Church, and the Rev. Robert Finley officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Peckville.
