Thomas J. Connor, 60, of Carbondale, died March 17 at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Gerard W. Sr. and Evelyn McMullen Connor, he was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was a 1971 graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and graduated from Lackawanna College with an Associate of Science degree in business management and Marywood College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication arts and sciences. After graduating from Marywood, he worked with a local professional theater group, and then with the Nicolo Marionettes and the Puppet People on Broadway, New York City. He was later employed as a physician billing clerk at Community Medical Center, Scranton. He was a member of the Carbondale Historical Society. After his disability, he volunteered at St. Rose of Lima Parish, assisting in computerizing church and cemetery records.
Surviving are a sister, Linda Speicher and husband, Richard, Carbondale; a brother, James Connor, State College; a sister-in-law, Barbara Connor, Carbondale; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerard W. Connor Jr., in January 2012.
The funeral will be Saturday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Carbondale. Arrangements are by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale.
