Vincent DeLucy

Vincent DeLucy, 89, of Scranton, died Wednesday at Hospice Community Care Center, Dunmore. His wife of 66 years is Louise Vanderburg DeLucy.

Born in Scranton on March 8, 1924, son of the late Frances and Geneva Craig DeLuccie, Vincent worked for Whipples Lumber Co., retiring after many years of service.

Also surviving are two sons, Alan and wife, Carol Malenda DeLucy, Pittston Twp.; and Wayne and wife, Ruth Jones DeLucy, Moscow; siblings, Francis DeLuccie, Dunmore; Vivian Palazzi, Stewart, Fla.; Thomas DeLuccie, Stewart, Fla.; and Carol Boone, Avoca; grandchildren, Alan DeLucy Jr. and wife, Danielle; Jason DeLucy and wife, Itxel; Nadine and husband, Luis Quiridongo; Michael DeLucy and fiancée, Heather Schaller; and Kelly DeLucy; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ethel DeLucy; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene DeLucy.

Vincent's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Celtic Hospice, Dunmore, for their compassion and care for Vincent.
