Violet Natishak, 86, Mayfield, died Sunday, at Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale. She was the widow of Michael Natishak Jr., who died July 5.
Violet was born in Mayfield on June 21, 1926, daughter of the late Charles and Julia Totski Vilgos. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald. She was formerly a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mayfield, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and its St. Michael's Choir. Violet formerly worked at Skippy's Restaurant, Archbald, for more than 25 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Carbondale Nursing Home and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Violet.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna and husband, Ronald Ashwell, of Oakton, Va., Karen and husband, Jeff Burns, of Scott Twp., and Maryann and husband, David Alfano, of Havertown; three sons, Michael and wife, Mary Alice, of Apalachin, N.Y., David and wife, Diane, of Peru, N.Y., and Paul, with whom she resided; two brothers, Anthony Vilgos and wife, Pat, of Hugo, Minn.; and Paul Vilgos and wife, Joyce, of Mayfield; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Vilgos, Eleanor Liuzzo and Veronica Gudelanis; and four brothers, John, Michael, Joseph and Charles.
The funeral will be Friday, 9 a.m., from the Ryczak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, with Mass at 9:30 in Christ the King Parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Main Street, Eynon. Interment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
