Willard Evans Sr., 72, of Throop, died Friday evening at Celtic Hospice Community Care in Dunmore.
Born on Jan. 7, 1942, son of the late Theodore and Marion Hill Evans, Willard worked in demolition and his longtime hobby was woodworking. Whether it was going for ice cream or taking rides to nowhere in particular, he was happy, as long as he was spending time with his family.
He is survived by four children, Willard Evans Jr., Sheila Macedonia and Helen Evans, all of Throop; and Roseann Miller, Scranton; his former wife of more than 30 years, Jean Balendy Evans, Throop; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Fenton and Marion Beavers.
