William Dotzel

William "Brad" Dotzel, 51, a resident of Spring Brook Twp., died Thursday at his home.

Born in Freehold, New Jersey, he is the son of Jeanne Kuniegel of Jefferson Twp. He was a graduate of Susquehanna Community High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was trained as an air traffic controller. He continued his air traffic control duties with the FAA at the Grant County International Airport, Moses Lake, Wash. He returned to Pennsylvania and continued his career at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. He was a loving father who enjoyed hunting, camping, music and spending time with his children. He was a life member of VFW Post 5207 John J. Michaels, Daleville and a member of American Legion Post 274, Gouldsboro.

He is survived by his two children, Bryn Dotzel and Cage Dotzel, Spring Brook Twp.; his mother, Jeanne Kuniegel and her husband, Ed, Jefferson Twp.; a stepfather, Walter Holtsmaster and his wife, Linda, South Gibson; two brothers, JR Holtsmaster and wife, Kate, Tunkhannock; Mark Holtsmaster and wife, Dawn, Moscow; and grandmother, Doris Schenck, South Gibson.

A visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services Funeral Home, 3 First Street, Spring Brook Twp., PA 18444. Funeral and interment services will be private.
