William P. McHale

William P. McHale of West Scranton died Sunday in Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in Scranton, son of the late William P. and Clara Brown McHale, he was a member of St. Ann's Basilica and educated in St. Ann's Monastery School. He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Before retirement, he was employed by Williams Bakery.

Bill was often seen watching his favorite television programs.

Surviving are six children; one sister, Mary E. McHale, Scranton; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Craig.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, with a blessing service by the Rev. Francis Landry, pastor, St. Ann's Basilica. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday noon to 1.
