Wayne C. Keiper Sr.

Wayne C. Keiper Sr., 65, of Brodheadsville, died Friday at home. He and his wife, Mary M. Thelning Keiper, would have celebrated 35 years of marriage on Aug. 31.

Born in Mountainhome, he was the son of the late Wade and Ethel Conuskey Keiper. Wayne had worked at Excel Steel, East Stroudsburg, for seven years, and at Tru-Matic, East Stroudsburg, for 12 years. He was also employed as a cook at various area locations for many years. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post 927, Gilbert.

Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela S. DeWar, Wind Gap; and Ethel I. Keiper, Lake Charles, La.; a son, Wayne C. Keiper Jr., Tannersville; three grandchildren, Corey R. Werner, Ryan J. Werner and Madyson Keiper; a niece, a nephew, a grandniece and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 927, Gilbert, with Jim Mills, chaplain, officiating. Cremation, H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
