Ann Dutter Obituary

Ann Marie Dutter, 68, a resident of Spring Brook Twp. since 1963, died Sunday morning at home. Her husband of 46 years is Peter F. Dutter.

Born in Pittston, daughter of the late John and Marie Sweetra Stravinski, she was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was employed for many years as a waitress at the Cardinal Inn, Spring Brook Twp. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow, and its Altar and Rosary Society and attended weekly Eucharistic adoration.

Ann Marie's crowning achievement was becoming a grandmother, and she was affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Kneema." She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, picking mushrooms and walks in the woods. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed playing Pogo with her best friend, Blondie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Crawley and husband, William, Tobyhanna; two sons, Peter D. Dutter and wife, Diane, Clarks Summit; and Robert Dutter, Spring Brook Twp.; a daughter-in-law, Terry Dutter, Falls; seven grandchildren, Gina Marie Nalaschi, Nicole Ann Dutter, Peter John Costanzi, Alexis Marie Dutter, Theresa Ann Dutter, Elizabeth Margaret and William Joseph Crawley; a brother, John Stravinski, Pittston; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rita Stravinski, and a brother, Carl Stravinski.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690 and First Street, Spring Brook Twp., with Mass at 10 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Church Street, Moscow, to be celebrated by Rev. Robert Simon, pastor.

My deepest sympathies. I've known Annie a long time - family functions & lots of Sunday dinners @ the Cardinal over many years - then working with her on Saturdays for a couple. She was definitely a funloving person and great to work with. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,
Anita Mucciolo
