Irene Davis Obituary

Irene H. Davis, Scott Twp., died Sunday night at Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville. Her widower is Michael Ephault. They had been married 14 years.

Born in Paterson, N.J., daughter of the late Richard and Marion Quarter Slockbower, she attended Eastside High School and received an associate degree in pre-law from Rutgers University. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are four sons, John Slockbower, Andy and Allan Guthrie; and Steven Kane and wife, Kandi, all of Carbondale; two stepsons, Jerry Ephault; and Michael Ephault and wife, Tara, Scott Twp.; a daughter, Roxane Rugar and husband, Richard, Carbondale; four brothers, Thomas, Richard, William and Russell Slockbower; and two sisters, Janice Eckel and Marion Wilson, all of New Jersey; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday in the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald. Interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. For online condolences and directions, visit www.RapochFuneralHome.com.
