Aileen E. Weiland, 84, of Greentown, died Friday at her residence. She was the widow of Richard N. Weiland, who died in 1997.

Born in Canadensis, daughter of the late Clinton and Clara Olsommer Seese, she had resided in the Promised Land-Greentown area for most of her life.
Aileen owned and operated Aileen's Beauty Salon in Promised Land for many years. She was a member of the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, Laurel Blossoms Senior Citizens, founding member of the Promised Land Community Church and Promised Land Ladies Club, and a former member of the Promised Land Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol A. and husband, Charles Renz, Wind Gap; and Lynne and husband, Fred Kaupp, Greentown; two grandchildren, Charles and Nolan Renz and their wives; three sisters, Jennie Tiffany, Canadensis; Clara Stearns, Greentown; and Lenora Lovenberg, Kunkletown; three brothers, Charles Heller, Dover, N.J.; Fred Heller, Hop Bottom; and August Heller, Flanders, N.J.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be March 10 at 3 p.m. in the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, Greentown. The Rev. Earl Roberts will officiate. Memorial remembrances may be made to Wayne County Memorial Hospital Hospice, 601 Park St., Honesdale, PA 18431; or the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, 491 Roemerville Road, Greentown, PA 18426.
