Albert T. Dyno Sr., Richmondale, died Sunday at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, after an illness. His wife is the former Olga Sterchak. The couple would have been married for 65 years in November.

Born in Richmondale, son of the late Michael and Mary Lesko Dyno, he was a member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Forest City. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in Hawaii and Panama. He was a member of the VFW Post 4712, Simpson. Before his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory, Forest City. He was also a member of the Russian Brotherhood Lodge. He enjoyed bowling and baseball, and he loved traveling, especially going on cruises.
The family would like to thank the staff of Home Health Care Professionals and Hospice Community Care for their excellent and compassionate care.
Also surviving are two sons, Albert Dyno Jr. and wife, Donna; and Michael Dyno and wife, Lynn, all of Vandling; two sisters, Rosemarie Sterchak, Forest City; and Dorothy Vitkus, Richmondale; four grandchildren, Marcy Dyno; Chris Dyno and wife, Lindsley; Michael Dyno Jr. and Adam Dyno; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Louis and Nicholas Dyno.
The funeral will be April 20 with a memorial Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Susquehanna Street, Forest City. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Richmondale.
