Alfred W. Kramer Jr. of the Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Wednesday at home following an illness. His wife of 25 years is the former Elizabeth J. Haight.

Born in New York City, son of the late Alfred W. and Josephine Masiello Kramer, he was a graduate of St. Ann's Academy Prep School and Fordham University, where he received his undergraduate and master's degrees. He had been employed as a biologist and pathologist at the American Cyanamid Co.'s Lederle Labs in Pearl River, N.Y. He was a retired associate professor at Bronx Community College, a part-time geology teacher at Rockland Community College and was a member of the Toxicologist/Pathology Society. He was a veteran of the Air Force Medical Service, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the New York State Guard.
Also surviving are daughters Corrine Hopper and Adrienne Goodman of Wurtzboro, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel. Anyone attending is asked to go directly to the church. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.
