Amy Deemer of Browndale formerly of Flemington, N.J., died Tuesday at the Commonwealth Hospice Unit at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband is Fred Deemer. The couple would have been married for 65 years in June.

Born in New Brunswick, N.J., daughter of the late Elmer Lawrence and Marguerite Nelson Sargent, she was a member of Three Bridges Lutheran Church, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Flemington High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting.
Also surviving are a son, Fred A. Deemer Jr., Scranton; a daughter, Lois Ormsby and husband, Richard, Browndale; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Jamie and Justin; a sister, Cynthia Grube, Englewood, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of the Forest City Nursing Center, the 6th Floor staff of Regional Hospital and the staff of the Commonwealth Hospice Unit for their excellent and compassionate care.
Private funeral services will be held by the Rev. Arthur Davis at the convenience of the family .
