Ann Gavin, a resident of Holy Family Residence, died Tuesday morning at the residence.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late James and Anna Allman Gavin, she was educated at St. Mary's and St Paul's schools and was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore. Before retirement, she was a bookkeeper at A&P/Supermarket Services as well as Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish for many years.

The family would like to thank the Little Sisters of the Poor along with the entire staff at the Holy Family Residence for their patience, support and loving care throughout her years there, and also for the care she received during her stay at Allied Terrace Assisted Living.

Surviving are a brother, Stephen Gavin, a resident of Holy Family Residence; a sister-in-law, Veronica Gavin, Drexel Hill; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, James, John, Mary and Isabelle; a dear cousin, Mary Barry; as well as nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Residence Chapel, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton. Interment, St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish Cemetery.
