Anna V. Loeh of the Petersburg section of Scranton died Wednesday morning at home. She was the widow of George L. Loeh, who died in 1966.

Born Dec. 16, 1918, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Kuzniacek Harkenreader. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Before retiring she had worked for the Grove Silk Mill, the Arthur Schultz family and was also a waitress at Redesky's, now known as the Glass Onion.

She was an excellent cook and baker. She made wonderful blueberry pies. She also loved polkas and was a member of various polka groups in the area. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are sons, George H. Loeh and wife, Mary-Ann, of Scranton; and James Loeh and wife, Theresa, of Forest City; a granddaughter, Jennifer Loeh of West Pittston; a sister, Hellen Tkach of Bristol, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Debish, Paul, Joe, Stanley, Frank, Pete, Charles and Steven.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton.

Friends may call Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of Mass at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to and under the care of the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
