Anthony Joseph Barrett, 26, of Nicholson, died Thursday at home.

He was born in Danville. Tony was a volunteer for the Christy Mathewson Little League, Fleetville, and he was employed at Herb Kilmer & Sons Inc. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, working on his cars, playing pool for Mark's Cafe and hanging out with his friends. Anthony had an infectious smile that made you immediately smile back.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Gladys L. (Barrett) and Chris Welch Sr., Montrose; fiancée, Ashley D. Kilmer, Nicholson; a brother, Christopher Welch Jr.; a sister, Gina Welch; grandmothers, Betty R. Barrett, Hop Bottom; and Carolyn R. Welch, Montrose.

The funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with services by the Rev. James R. Nash of Nanticoke. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. Interment, Newton Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn Twp. Donations in Anthony's memory may be made to Christy Mathewson Little League, RR 2 Box 2281 K, Factoryville, PA 18419.
