Beatrice Jean Baldan Dick, 86, of Jessup, died Monday afternoon at Moses Taylor Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Dick, in 2008. The couple was married for 55 years.

Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sadie Davis Baldan. A graduate of Jessup High School, class of 1946, she worked at Genalite Inc. She was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup.

She loved being with family, participating at the Mid-Valley Senior Center, and spending summers at Lake Henry.

Left behind to cherish her memory are a brother, Harry Baldan and wife, Ludy, Peckville; two sons, Michael Dick and wife Katja, Catonsville, Md., and Gregory Dick, Jessup; three daughters, Doreen Cramer and husband Ken, Roaring Brook Twp.; Leslie Sedlak and husband, Andrew, Peckville; and Janine Gallagher and husband, John, Scranton; nine grandchildren, Donald and Kelly Cramer, Lindsey Sedlak Akers, Michael, Stacey and Lori Sedlak, Alaina and Jake Gallagher, and Katie Dick; two great-grandchildren, Allie and Adelyn Sedlak; several nieces and nephews; and friend Charles Ingram, Scranton.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert "Red" and Joseph Baldan, one sister, Vera Szymanski; an infant brother, Albert; a niece and godchild, Sharon Szymanski Ingram; and a nephew, Michael Monsak.

The funeral will be Friday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup with Divine Liturgy at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.; Parastas at 7:30.
