Beverly Ann Shrader Hinds, formerly of Scranton, died Wednesday in Altamonte Springs, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Ronald G. Hinds, on May 23, 1997. They had been happily married for 33 years.

She was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Kilmer Shrader. Born and raised in Scranton, she had attended public schools and graduated from Scranton Central High School in 1961. As her children were growing up, she was active in school activities, Cub Scouts, Brownies and East Scranton Little League.

She had a great personality and loved people, resulting in her working in retail sales and customer service most of her life. She moved from Scranton to Roseto in 2004 and then to Altamonte Springs in 2009 to be near her children. While in Florida, she met the second love of her life, her fiancé, Henry Frederick. She was of Methodist faith and always saw the good in everyone. She believed there was a reason for everything and that we never walk alone in life if we believe.

She is survived by a son, Ronald J. Hinds, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara A. Hinds, Lake Clarke Shores, Fla.; a sister, Shirley Travis and husband, Russell; a brother, William "Bill" Shrader and wife, Harriet, all of Jermyn; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Bomberger-Lesko Funeral Home Inc., 1660 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with services by the Rev. Arthur Davis. Interment Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp.
