Beverly Hnatew Baun, 59, of Scranton, died Thursday evening in Osprey Ridge Nursing Home, Carbondale.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Helen Stanford Hnatew, she was educated in Scranton schools and was a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1971. She was also a graduate of the University of Connecticut, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in human social services. She was formerly employed by Lackawanna County in the Human Development Agency department.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who was dedicated to her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Kristin and Jillian Baun, both of Scranton; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Page and Emmie; a brother, David Hnatew, Scranton; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral will be Tuesday with a blessing service at 4 p.m. in the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, by the Very Rev. Nestor Kowal. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

There will be no calling hours.
