Carolyn L. Brozzetti, 68, of Old Forge, died Tuesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital after a brief illness. Her loving husband of 50 years is Gino Brozzetti.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Roger "Jake" and Carmela "Millie" Pilotti, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, class of 1963. She was formerly employed as admissions/placement director at Johnson College for 23 years and most recently, as an administrative assistant for the office of attorney general, Plains Twp., for 14 years. She was a dedicated, well-respected colleague. Carolyn was a devout parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, and was formerly a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit, where she served as a lector. Her Catholic faith was a central part of her life. She belonged to many social and professional organizations, where she served on many boards. She was a member of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Enrico Caruso Lodge 2770, Scranton.
Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who absolutely cherished her family. She was a devoted, loving and caring friend to all who knew her. Most of all, Carolyn enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family and friends, whom she cherished. She specifically adored her three grandchildren, of whom she was so proud. She had a passion for fine dining and relished preparing traditional holiday meals for her family. She and her husband enjoyed trips to casinos and Sunday afternoon drives. She especially enjoyed the seashore and the beauty of nature, which inspired her hobby of painting. She was fond of all animals and loved their dog, Brandy. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff at MTH intensive care unit and especially Dr. Henry C. Yeager for his utmost care, compassion and dedication to Carolyn.
Also surviving are three daughters, Alisa Salerno and husband, Eric, Clarks Summit; Carolann Brozzetti, Allentown; and Gina Brozzetti, Clarks Summit; three grandchildren, Amanda, Eric Jr. and Carina Salerno, Clarks Summit; a brother, Roger Pilotti and wife, Dawn, Harrisburg; two nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., Scranton, with Mass at 10 in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by Monsignor James McGarry, pastor, and Monsignor Philip A. Gray. Interment, Italian-American Cemetery, Minooka section, Scranton.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, TN 38105.
