Catherine (Kay) Lalli passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 10, 2013.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Lucille Catrone; and her sister, Lucille Valori. She is survived by her husband, Leonard A. Lalli Sr.; son, Bert Ghilardi (Arlene), of Endwell, N.Y.; granddaughter, Catherine Rosso (Pete) and great-granddaughter, Katelyn; grandson, Paul Ghilardi, of Binghamton, N.Y.; brother, Michael Catrone and sister, Ella Schulp of Scranton, Pa.; sister, Annette Vannucci (Lorie) of Martin, Ky.; brother-in-law, Sergio Valori of Leesport, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Kay was born and raised in Scranton, Pa., attended West Scranton High School, the McCann School of Business and Albright College. She worked at the Globe Dept. Store, Scranton, as a portrait studio manager and later managed the portrait studio at C.K. Whitner's Dept. Store, Reading, Pa., where she won many awards. Kay especially loved her work photographing children. After a 25-year career in professional photography, Kay settled in Binghamton. She volunteered with BC Council of Churches Jail Program, holding services and visiting female inmates. She followed up with many letters and expressions of kindness. Kay was known as a prayer intercessor, and was loved by many as she cared deeply for people of every walk of life and lifted them up with words of encouragement and prayer.

A service of thanksgiving for her life will be Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at House of Bread Fellowship Church, 4 S. Brookside Avenue in Endwell, N.Y.
