Christine DelBaldo Hudak, 84, of Archbald, passed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, April 24, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Joseph Hudak, who died in 1985.

She was born March 23, 1929, in Archbald, daughter of the late Cesare and Katherine Radziewicz DelBaldo. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and its Legion of Mary. She was the secretary to Our Lady of Czestochowa Praesidium. She was 31-year rosary volunteer at Lackawanna Health Care Center. She and her husband were long-time owners of Cesare's Restaurant in Archbald.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Hudak, Scranton; Stacey Whitaker and husband, Alan, Scott Twp.; Valerie Werkheiser and husband, Gary, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Kathy Chappell and husband Joe, Hilton Head, S.C.; grandchildren, Kathryn, Benjamin and Elizabeth Whitaker; Vanessa and Devon Werkheiser; Samantha and Ryan Chappell; a sister, Gertrude Gambucci and her husband, Maro, Eynon; and sisters-in-law, Ann Alco and Marie Walsh; godchildren, Donna Callahan and Anthony Gangemi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Alan Whitaker Jr.; and a sister, Dolores Callahan.
The funeral will be Monday 9:30 a.m. from the Harrison Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Archbald, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Interment will be private in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
