Clara M. Exner, 95, of Ambler, died Friday at Artman Lutheran Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Exner Sr. for 65 years.

Clara was born in Honesdale, on June 25, 1917, to the late Philip R. and Margaret M. Rose Murray. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School and received her B.A. in biology from the College of New Rochelle. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Clara was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen and attended its Bible study group.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, traveling the world with her husband and swimming at the YMCA until the age of 90.
She is survived by three children, Mary Spalding (Roy), Raymond, Neb.; Clare Exner (Lawrence Crystal), Mapleton, Maine; and Lawrence J. Exner, Jr. (Ellen), Scranton; a brother, Philip R. Murray, Camp Hill; five grandchildren, Maroya Spalding Walters, Sara, Philip Crystal, Abigail and Ryan Exner.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Margaret M. Gartland; and two brothers, John and George Murray.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
A viewing will be from 9:30 to 11 at the church.
