Connie Horn, 79, of Harford Twp., Pa., died on October 2, 2013, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Eugene and Veronica Carberry. Connie graduated from Buffalo State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught special education prior to her marriage to John Briggs.

In 1973, Connie married Fenwick Horn. Connie and Fen were members of the University of New York Chorus and also sang with the Binghamton Pops for many years. They traveled abroad with the University Choir and made lifelong friends who shared their love of classical music and choral singing.
Connie was always interested in antiques. She enjoyed auctions and was a member of the Harford Historical Society. She could often be found swimming and relaxing at Tingley Lake.
Connie is predeceased by her husband, Fenwick Horn; parents, Veronica and Eugene Carberry Sr.; and brother, Eugene Carberry Jr.
She is survived by three children, Adam and his wife, Paula; Joshua and his wife, Shauna; and daughter, Sarah and her husband, Jorge; five grandchildren, Katelyn, JJ, Jeremiah, Jake and Luke; a sister, JoAnn Spence; and many extended family members and friends.
At her request, there will be no public service or burial. Calling hours will be at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home Inc., Hallstead, Pa., from 2 to 5 on Sunday, October 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Harford Historical Society, P.O. Box 236, Harford, PA 18823.
