Constance Davies Hubbard, 94, passed away Sunday, July 21.

Originally from Scranton, Pa., Connie was a 1938 graduate of Keystone Junior College. Before marriage, she was an employee of the Scranton Lace Co. She and her family then became active members of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a long-term member of the Women's Club of Scranton. Connie raised her family in Waldwick, N.J., and volunteered at Valley Hospital. She worked 24 years at Bamberger's, Paramus, N.J. Connie and her husband, Larry, retired to Sparta where they built a home and became active in the Lake Mohawk community. Here she volunteered at the Beehive, which benefited Newton Hospital. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta. All the while, she traveled back to the Women's Club to play bridge with her old friends in Scranton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence B. Hubbard; and sister, June Singlevich of Ridgewood.
Connie is survived by her son, Neil Hubbard and his wife, Linda, of Andover, N.J.; by her daughter, Diane O'Connor of Pompton Lakes, N.J.; and her sister, Nancy Wenzel and husband, Charles, of New Holland, Pa. There are four grandchildren, Sharon DiRussa of Pequannock, N.J.; Jill Rumohr of Oakland, N.J.; Nicole Friedl of Peoria, Ariz.; and Sean Hubbard of Andover, N.J.; Connie also had six great-grandchildren, Cortney and Tyler DiRussa; Matthew and Sydney Rumohr; Ethan and Genevieve Friedl; numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Scranton, Pa., where a private service will be held.
