Constance E. Edwards, age 95, of South Sterling, died Thursday morning at home. She was the widow of C. Allen Edwards, who died Dec. 15, 2011.

Born in Newfoundland, daughter of the late F. Carroll and Esther (Shultz) Krautter, she was a lifelong resident of the Newfoundland area.
Connie retired from teaching in 1970 with the Wallenpaupack Area School District. She taught English and math at Greene Dreher, Greene Dreher Sterling, Southern Wayne and WAHS. She also coached girls' softball and cheerleading at the Newfoundland schools.
She was a graduate of Greene Dreher High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Teaching at Bucknell University.
Connie was a member of the Newfoundland Moravian Church, Auxiliary of Post 859 American Legion, Greene Dreher Community Women's Club, life member of the Greene Dreher Sterling Fair Association, where she was register of exhibits, auxiliary of the Greene Dreher Volunteer Fire Company and Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a brother, Carroll (Dawn) Krautter, Newfoundland; two sisters, Donna (Anthony) Santiso, Stroudsburg; and Diana Krautter, Newburgh, N.Y.; eight nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and great-nephews; and five great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
A private family funeral service will be held Monday with interment in Moravian Cemetery, Friends may call for a public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, 201 LaAnna Road, Village of LaAnna, South Sterling.
