USAF Master Sgt. (ret.) Darrin A. Rennie died Jan. 2 at his home in Albion, Maine.

Born April 17, 1968, in Scranton, son of Wade and Phyllis Rennie of Dalton, he graduated from Abington Heights High School. He proudly served in the Air Force from December 1986 through March 2007.

He had many friends around the world and is remembered for his leadership and mentoring skills. He was a gourmet cook, enjoyed comedy and making people laugh, did sound engineering for various musical groups, and loved outdoor sports including hunting and fishing.

He is also survived by a sister, Tara Molchan and husband Thomas, Waverly; brothers, Kirk Rennie, Rapid City, S.D.; and Brett Hughes, Port Murray, N.J.; two nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins; his special friend, Mary Kay Adams, Albion; and his former wife, Eileen Krawczyk, Bennington, Vt.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Marian Rennie; Daniel and Mary Hughes; and Fred and Beulah Mitchell.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Since he resided in many places and was involved with several volunteer ambulance crews, his family asks that you make a contribution in his memory to your local crew in lieu of flowers.

Acknowledgments may be sent to his parents in Dalton.
