Donald A. Thomas, Old Forge, died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He and his wife, the former Sharon Furchak, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on May 21.

He was born in Kingston on Oct. 24, 1952, and died on his 61st birthday. He was the son of the late Harry Jr. and Emily M. Watkins Thomas. He attended Wyoming Valley West High School and had worked in shipping and receiving for Specialty Records for 20 years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He loved his dogs, Napolleon, Abbie and Jewel; they brought him much joy. He will be deeply missed by his family and especially his friends, Joe and Dee, Bob and Val and Johnny and Donna.
Also surviving are two sisters, Emily R. Gaylets, Taylor; and Sharon Twardowski, Dupont; a brother, Barry Thomas, Miami; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra D. Hurley; and a niece, Sandra L. Hurley.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
