Dorothy R. Kostenbader, 88, of Allentown, died Jan. 15 at home. She was the wife of the late Paul Kostenbader and the late Darwin Gardner.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Seperack Ross. Before her first marriage, she was employed by Scranton Electric. Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant in the development office at Muhlenberg College in Allentown for many years, until retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Allentown, and was baptized and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scranton.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann G., wife of David F. Barbieri of Wake Forest, N.C.; sister, Lydia Hemmerle of North Port, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Alexis and Caroline.

A memorial service will be announced.
