Earl D. Frazier Sr., 74, a longtime resident of Scranton, died Oct. 24 at Darway Nursing, Dushore, after a long battle with illness. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Joan Parham.

Born in Alachea, Fla., son of the late Oscar and Cybil Inez Frazier, he was employed by Aramark and Jacobson Hat Co. for many years. Earl was a certified PIAA official who enjoyed fishing, coaching and working in the community.
Also surviving are two daughters, Darnell Neal and husband, Willie C. Neal; and Cheryl Frazier, all of Scranton; four sons, Earl Frazier Jr., Wilkes-Barre; Shawn Coleman, Jason Frazier and Patrick Frazier, all of Scranton; two stepdaughters, Kim Walker and Quinta Parham, both of Scranton; two brothers, Wayne Powers, Scranton; and Donny Frazier, North Carolina; two sisters, Cybil Ernestine Harris, Davenport, Fla.; and the Rev. Jelinda Lee Hardy, Washington, D.C.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Foreman, Scranton; a brother-in-law, John "Cookie" Cousins, Scranton; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends, to name two, Patricia Coleman and May Day.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Delores Powers.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in Bethel A.M.E. Church, 716 N. Washington Ave., Scranton, with services by the Rev. Tawan Bailey officiating. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery. Anyone attending the funeral is asked to proceed directly to the church on Saturday.
